Racketball • Resistance • Flexibility

There is no better game than Racketball to boost your cardio fitness and have great fun.

Racketball is sometimes called Squash57.

The game is similar to squash by why 57?

Is it because there are 57 varieties?

Is it because I was born in 1957?

The answer is that the ball is 57 millimeters in diameter whereas as a standard squash ball is only 40 millimeters.

So the ball is bigger and it is bouncier and the game is easier to play and easier to pick up than squash.

Racketball is a bit slower than squash but the ball is bouncier and the rallies last longer.

So you get a great cardio workout.

Also Racketball is a bit gentler on the body than squash.

Fit57 is not only about cardio.

While some players will be practising or playing on court others will be working out on the squash court next door.

Innovative resistance exercises involving weighted bars, steps and medicine balls will alternate with Racketball sessions.

Before and after the sessions there will stretching exercises to increase flexibility.
